Friday 11th:

Please arrive on site after 3pm

12:30 – 15:30               Optional visit to ‘Say It With Wood’

Sweet Chestnut coppicers, suppliers and  green woodworkers. Take a look around their large premises, see what they make and chat to their craftsmen who make and install these lovely products.

No food will be provided on the Friday evening but there will be a BBQ area for you to cook your own (possibly also a pizza oven – TBC) and most importantly, the bar should be open!

Saturday 12th:

08:00               Breakfast

10:00               Welcome speech

10:30               Demonstrations and workshops

12:30               Lunch (packed lunch ingredients provided to make your own!)

14:00               Site visits to Stoke Lacy church to see the recently restored spire, using thousands of shingles cleft by Maurice Clother (www.touchwood.co.uk), and Moreton Wood (www.moretonwood.co.uk) looking at coppice in Herefordshire for the product, wildlife and the historic environment. Alternatively stay on site for demonstrations, workshops and networking.

18:30               Dinner

19:30               Talk about the archaeology of woodland

20:30               Music by Slippery Slope

Sunday 13th:

08:00               Breakfast

09:00               Demonstrations, discussion forums and networking

10:30               Tool sale

12:00               Lunch, washing up and packing

13:30               For those who have the time there will be a site visit to “Crunchie’s Cobs” Horse Logging for a demonstration of extracting various types of timber using different methods with Gypsy Cob ponies.

All meals for the weekend (except Friday evening) are included in the price. Please make sure you tell us about any special dietary requirements on your booking form.

On Friday a BBQ area will be available for you to cook your own food. A pizza oven may also be available (TBC). Tea, coffee and water will be provided all weekend and there will be a cash bar.

Please bring your own cutlery and crockery to help keep things as simple as possible.

Accommodation

There is plenty of space for pitching tents as well as for campervans etc. The site has good access and hard tracks for vehicles if preferred. Please let us know what you are bringing on your booking form.
