This year’s National Coppice Federation AGM & Gathering is kindly being hosted by the Hampshire Coppice Craftsmens Group.

Sandy Acres Guide Camp, Sandy Lane, Shedfield, Nr. Wickham, SO32 2HQ

Please note that dogs are not permitted on site (except for assistance dogs).

Programme

Friday 12th:

Please arrive after 3pm
No food will be provided but there will be a BBQ area for you to cook your own and, most importantly, the bar should be open!

 

Saturday 13th:

09:00 Breakfast
10:00 Welcome speech
10:30 Demonstrations and workshops:

  • hazel wattle hurdles
  • hazel spars
  • sweet chestnut cleaving and products
  • roof shingles
  • basket making
  • Hookway and Exeter retort kiln
12:30 Lunch
14:00 Site visit to the Stansted Estate which has hazel and chestnut coppice or stay on site for demonstrations, workshops and networking
17:00 Auction of tools and related items
18:00 AGM
19:00 Dinner
20:00 Talk about woodland management in the surrounding area of the Meon Valley

Sunday 14th

09:00 Breakfast
10:00 Demonstrations, workshops and networking
12:00 Lunch, washing up and depart for home

Food and Refreshments

All meals for the weekend (except Friday evening) are included in the price. Please make sure you tell us about any special dietary requirements on your booking form.

On Friday a BBQ area will be available for you to cook your own food.

Tea, coffee and water will be available and there will be a cash bar.

Please bring your own cutlery and crockery to help keep things as simple as possible.

Accommodation

There is plenty of space for pitching tents as well as limited room for campervans etc.

Please let us know what you are bringing on your booking form.

NCFed members: £40
Non-members: £55
Apprentices: £30
Saturday only (inc. lunch & dinner): £30

Payments can be made by Paypal, cheque or bank transfer.

How to Book

To book your place at this years event simply fill out the form below (one form per person please) and click on the ‘Make Booking’ button at the bottom.

Once you’ve submitted your form you’ll be taken to a Payments page where you can either pay using Paypal or get all the necessary details for paying by cheque or bank transfer.

You will receive a confirmation email for your booking.
