2017 Gathering and AGM- a great success

Over 80 coppice people gathered at the lovely Ruskin Mill College in Gloucestershire for the fith annual gathering and AGM. Expertly organised by the Avon and South Gloucestershire Coppice Group it all went very smoothly inspite of threatening weather, courtesy of Storm Brian. Our own chair Brian Williamson kept his cool though and everything went to plan. There were ongoing workshops on rehandling billhooks, a brilliant tool store, charcoal bores corner, site visits, felling demo with axes with Simon Fowler and an impromtu, by demand, demonstration of spar making by Alan Waters and Peter Jameson as well as a billhook talk, discussions about housing issues, charcoal bags, and much more. The food was great and the company even better. Thanks to everyone for making it happen.
